Efling – union invites to an open meeting in Gerðuberg, next Saturday November 3rd about the demands of Efling union and Federation of General and Special workers in Iceland (SGS). The meeting starts at 14.30 and is intended for Efling members of foreign origin but open to all. The meeting will be in English but on screen translation will be in Icelandic.
This Saturday, Efling invites you to a talk by Board Members and fellow workers Jamie McQuilkin, and Anna Marjankowska, joining Head of Labour Organizing Maxim Baru to discuss our bargaining positions.
This is your chance to talk about the why, what, where, and when of the worker’s demands for Higher pay, Shorter Hours, and more Industrial Democracy.
What are our demands? What will they change? How can we make sure we achieve them?
There will be cake and coffee at the end of the meeting, which will be over no later than 16:00. As usual there is free childcare available at the Gerðuberg library (registration required — see below). The meeting will be live streamed on Efling’s Facebook page.
