47 union representatives were present during the meeting and unanimously approved the resolution.
We, the union representatives of Efling who are employed by the city of Reykjavík, demand that the city authorities reach an agreement for a correction of our wages and those of other Efling members employed by the city.
A reasonable solution based on a known precedent has been suggested by the negotiating committee of Efling. We support that solution and declare our unequivocal support for the correction paths which the negotiating committee of Efling has submitted. It’s clear to us that the city’s funds are ample for that correction.
As an elected representative, you have been appointed to run the city, our workplace. You are responsible for our wages and our welfare. We call upon you to shoulder that responsibility.
We still do our jobs every day. Are you doing yours?
