Enough is enough!
Efling has already come to an agreement with Reykjavík city and with the state, for a fair improvement to the lowest wages in the Icelandic labour market.
Now, the authorities in Kópavogur, Seltjarnarnes, Mosfellsbær, Hveragerði and Ölfus should do the same.
Efling workers in these municipalities provide basic services such as care, cleaning and catering.
They are under heavy strain due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
I urge the mayors of these municipalities to come to terms with their staff and provide them with the improvements their colleagues have gained vis-à-vis Reykjavík and the state.
