The members of Efling employed by Kópavogur, Seltjarnarnes, Mosfellsbær, Hveragerði and Ölfus have voted on a collective agreement which was signed on May 10th.

Of the 118 voting on the agreement, 117 of them (99,15%) voted yes. Only one person voted against the agreement (0.85%). No one abstained.

The vote took place online from noon on Monday, May 18th, until Friday, May 22nd.

“This agreement called for wage increases for our members employed by Kópavogur, Seltjarnarnes, Mosfellsbær, Hveragerði and Ölfus comparable with those stipulated in the agreement of Efling with Reykjavík, the state and Faxaflóahafnir. We’re bound to celebrate that achievement and I am proud of the resolve showed by our members during strike actions taken in difficult times where their solidarity and fighting spirit won them a fair wage correction and better pay,” says Sólveig Anna Jónsdóttir.
