The negotiating committee of Efling and Reykjavík Energy (Orkuveita Reykjavíkur) signed a collective agreement today which expires on November 1st of 2022.
The agreement applies to 60 Efling members working for Orkuveita Reykjavíkur and its subsidiaries, Veitur ohf. and Orka náttúrunnar ohf.
These are employees who do maintenance-work on pipes and buildings, as well as kitchen-work and cleaning work.
The agreement stipulates increases in basic wages comparable to those approved in the private sector in April of 2019. The pay raises of April 1st of 2019 and April 1st of 2020 will be retroactive. Also, previous fixed payments of employees will be partly transferred into contractual terms of employment.
The negotiating committee, which is comprised of union members, led the talks along with the chairman and staff of Efling.
