The shortening of the workday – a new working arrangement for shift-workers

Rules regarding the shortening of the workday for shift-workers can seem complicated to many people and hard to implement.

This course will cover most of the stipulations of collective agreements which pertain to shift workers and the shortening of the workday, the formal procedure and implementation.

This course will focus especially on the structure of places where shift work takes place and how the shortening of the workday can be implemented without reducing the services of the workplaces or infringing upon the rights or responsibilities of the employees.

The instructor is Ragnar Ólason, assistant managing director at Efling and expert in the subject of the shortening of the workday.

The course is open to all. Union representatives can attend for free. Union members can apply for an individual grant for the courses from the educational funds of Efling.

It takes place on September 23rd of 2021 from 9am to 12 o’clock noon.

Fee: 11.000 kronas.
