Job evaluation
The wage environment of Reykjavík City and other municipalities is based on a job evaluation system whose main purpose is to systematically evaluate jobs and the requirements they demand. Job evaluations do not assess the capability or performance of individual employees.
The job evaluation is to assess jobs independently of who the employee is, whether male or female, to which union the employee belongs, of what nationality, and finally, the job evaluation is to be independent of residence or work location.
