The Icelandic Confederation of Labour, ASÍ, has decided to sue SA before the Labour court to get its lockout on Efling members declared invalid.
ASÍ argues that the decision to implement a lockout is not valid, since the SA board is not permitted to take such a decision, and because the unbalanced voting powers of SA members in the vote on a lockout are not founded in law, among other reasons.
The declaration of a lockout is further seen as illegal by ASÍ because all SA members were on the voting registry, whether they are based in the Efling area of operations or not.
Procedural errors in the SA lockout declaration are also noted, sufficient to void it.
The case will be filed on Monday.
