The winners of Efling’s 2024 photo competition visited Efling union’s office on September 20 to receive their prizes.
This summer, Efling union held its annual photo competition among members of the union. The jury of the competition received a large number of excellent photos so it was not an easy task to choose the winning places. In recent years, prizes have only been awarded for 1st and 2nd place in the photography competition. Since so many great photos were received, it was decided to add two prize seats; two awards that shared the third place. Below you can see pictures of the four top pictures and the photographers behind the pictures.
First place:
First place in the photography competition went to Ingveldur Kristjánsdóttir for her photo of an Arctic Tern on an Icelandic summer day in Flatey on Skjálfandi. Below you can see her receiving the award from the chairman of Efling union, Sólveig Anna Jónsdóttir. To the left you can see Ingveldur’s winning photo.
Second place:
Second place went to Piotr Miazga for his picture of horses in an Icelandic mountain environment. Below you can see Piotr receiving the award. To the left you can see his picture that won the second place. It is worth noting that Piotr won first place in Efling’s photo competition in 2023. Third place
Last but not least, Anton Gabriel Bolog also won third place for his stunning photo of the northern lights. Unfortunately, he was unable to receive the award at this time and will receive it later. Here below you can see his picture:
