This summer, Efling union held its annual photo competition among members of the union. The photos were as before meant to reflect holidays in Iceland. The last submission deadline was August 30.
The jury of the competition received a large number of excellent photos so it was not an easy task to choose the winning places. It was therefore decided to add two extra prizes. In addition to prizes for first and second place, there were two prizes given for a shared third place. The winning photos can be seen below. Due to the number of great photos, the jury also selected some great photos that received honorable mentions, which can also be seen here below.
The prize for first place is a 50,000 ISK gift card and the prize for second place is a 25,000 ISK gift card. The third place is shared by two photos and the prize for each of them is a 15,000 ISK gift card.
Efling thanks for good participation in the photo competition and congratulates the winners and honorary nominees for their great photos.
The jury consisted of Sólveig Anna Jónsdóttir, Magdalena Kwiatkowska and Ragnheiður Hera Gísladóttir. The jury reaches the following conclusion about the winner of the competition.
First place:
The first place goes to Ingveldur Kristjánsdóttir for a photo of an Arctic Tern on an Icelandic summer day in Flatey on Skjálfandi.
Second place:
The second place goes to Piotr Miazga for a picture of horses in an Icelandic mountain environment. It is worth noting that Piotr won first place in Efling’s photo competition in 2023.
Third place:
Olga Beata Świerczek was one of those who won third place with her photo of the magnificent Icelandic landscape in Þórsmörk.
Anton Gabriel Bolog was one of those who won third place for his stunning photo of the northern lights. It is worth noting that Anton also received an honorable mention for a photo submitted to the photo competition in 2023.
