New: Retirement course – day courses now available
Efling’s retirement courses have been sought after by union members who are about to begin retirement. The courses have so far only been offered in the evenings, but now the courses will also be available as a day course.
Retirement is a turning point for everyone, so you need to prepare well for that time. The change has a great impact on people’s lives and is often a big step to take. With good preparation, you can make your new role in life positive and enjoyable. During the course, experts discuss activities and life skills after retirement, health insurance, pension rights, health and union rights and answer questions from participants. Available social activities and informative courses will also be discussed.
The course will be held during the day on November 12 from 9:30-15:15. Lunch will be served. Participants can invite their partner.
Many workplaces allow employees who are planning retirement to attend courses of this type during daytime hours at full pay, even if this has not been specifically agreed upon in collective agreements. Efling encourages its members to discuss this with their employer and try to reach an agreement.
The course is free of charge for members of Efling. It will take place in Efling‘s building, Guðrúnartún 1, on the 4th floor. The course is held in collaboration with Mímir.
