Members of the Efling Union who are expecting children are now being offered support to prepare for the changes that await them when a new life comes into the world. At the end of March and the beginning of April, Efling is hosting a course for expectant parents, where experienced experts will present ways to make this exciting and joyful time as carefree and enjoyable as possible.

Everyone should know that having your first child and suddenly being responsible for a small life is challenging. The course will therefore discuss emotional and stress management, the importance of strengthening and maintaining intimacy between parents, and relationships in the whole family. The expectant parents will also be introduced to where they can seek support in the child’s first years.

The course is for couples who are expecting their first child together and one of them must be a paying member of Efling. The course will take place on Saturdays, March 29 and April 12, and is taught in Icelandic and English. The course fee is 2,500 ISK and light breakfast and lunch will be provided on both days.
