A new calculator is now available on Efling’s website, making it easy and quick for members to calculate their holiday bonus. The calculator can be adjusted according to various collective agreements, including those for the private sector (SA), hotels and restaurants, the City of Reykjavík, the state, other municipalities, and nursing homes (SFV). The amount is calculated based on the 2024 holiday year, which runs from May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025.
The calculator is part of Efling’s ongoing effort to simplify access to information about members’ rights and provide a better overview, anytime and anywhere. Employers can also use the calculator to ensure that the holiday bonus for their employees is calculated correctly.
To calculate the estimated holiday bonus, the relevant collective agreement must first be selected. Then, the user selects the period worked during the holiday year, as well as the employment ratio during that period. Based on this information, the calculator estimates the holiday bonus amount that is expected to be paid on June 1.
