Agreement in the wage dispute between Efling and the Federation of Welfare Service Employers

Efling’s negotiating committee with the Federation of Welfare Service Employers (SFV) approved yesterday a proposal from the state mediator in their ongoing wage dispute.

The proposal stipulates that the collective agreement between Efling and SFV, originally signed in October 2024, will remain in effect as planned until 31 March 2028. Base wage adjustments will be made under a new agreement, increasing the wages of staff in nursing homes by between ISK 7,479 and ISK 18,604, depending on length of service. The wage increases take effect retroactively from 1 July this year, with back payments to be completed alongside the December 1 payroll.

The job titles team leader, foreman, group leader and shift supervisor will be included in the institutional agreements, the availability of professional training courses will be expanded, and work will begin on a value assessment of job roles.
