Collective agreement with SFV agreed with a large majority

16. 10, 2024

The collective bargaining agreement of Efling Union with Companies in Welfare Services (SFV) was approved by an overwhelming majority in a vote that ended yesterday. A total of 93 percent of those who voted approved the agreement.

The agreement is the first independent collective bargaining agreement that Efling makes on behalf of members working in nursing homes. In the past, they have followed collective agreements with the state.

The main demand of the negotiating committee of Efling was that the understaffing of the nursing homes be addressed. The collective bargaining agreement was accompanied by an agreement with the government that obliges them to act and submit solutions to it by April 1. If this agreement is not fulfilled, Efling is entitled to terminate the agreement.

The contract applies retroactively from last April 1st, and therefore the contractual salary increases of the last months are now due at the end of this month. Efling members are encouraged to carefully review their payslips and verify that everything has been paid correctly.
