Efling is offering the members of the union a day trip in Árnessýsla, where we will travel around the up-country of South Iceland. We will spend a whole day exploring its wonderful nature, for example Tungufell, a canyon in Hvítá named Brúarhlöð, a beautiful waterfall named Faxi and also the famous Gullfoss and Geysir. In the late afternoon we will visit the acclaimed greenhouse in Friðheimar there will be served a delicious tomato soup with home baked bread in the acclaimed greenhouse in Friðheimar and also have a short presentation of how to grow tomatoes in a cold country.There will be two travelling dates, August 24th and 31st.The journey starts at Guðrúnartún 1 at exactly 08:15. We expect to come back at about 20:00.Paricipants must bring their own lunches, warm clothing and appropriate outdoor clothing and good shoes.Members of Efling may invite one guest with them. The price is only 6.000 kr. for each person. Including in the price is the bus, a tour guide and a light dinner in Friðheimar.
