Efling gave a press conference in the Barracks today at 2pm. That’s where Viðar Þorsteinsson, managing director of Efling presented how much it would cost the city to correct the lowest wages. That sum was compared with the cost of renovating the Barracks. As the correction of the wages of approximately 1800 city employees would come into effect, it would be comparable to just under four Barracks annually. During the agreement period, the city’s surplus would cover the cost many times over.
