Applications for strike support for municipal workers (both in Reykjavík and in other municipalities) are now open on the Efling homepage. For Reykjavík workers, the period you can apply for is March 1-9. For workers in municipalities outside Reykjavík, the period you can apply for is from noon March 9 until March 20.To have your payment processed at month’s end, your application must have been sent by March 25.Efling members working for municipalities outside Reykjavík are advised that, should the strike last longer, they will need to apply again. Assistance for those who need it is available by calling 510 7500.Payment for a full day of work lost in the strike is 18,000kr.
