This weekend, agreements were signed between Efling and the government. The agreements come with some financing for a correction of underpaid women’s jobs. Such a correction and other items are still under negotiation with the city. Efling strikes in the city therefore go on.A strike of Efling workers in municipalities outside Reykjavík, mostly in Kópavogur, begins at noon today. A rally will be held today at half past noon in the church hall of Digraneskirkja for members who go on strike. Amongst them is a large number of people working in cleaning, at schools and on maintenance. Workplace chiefs will inform workers about which jobs are exempted from the strike.
