At the Efling council of delegates meeting tomorrow evening, February 11, Steinunn Böðvarsdóttir from VR’s economics department will speak on workplace democracy. The lecture begins at 7:45pm and will be streamed live on the Efling Facebook page.The lecture will be in Icelandic with English subtitles.Workplace democracy comes in many forms. In Iceland, unions have a strong foundation and union representatives give workers a voice in the workplace. But workplace democracy in neighbouring countries is often wider and includes the right for workers to elect a representative to company boards.
