Efling will present the union’s new collective agreements with SA at a meeting next Tuesday, March 12. Members are encouraged to register for the meeting, a registration form can be found at this URL.
The collective bargaining agreement was signed yesterday and, if the members approve them in a vote, will bring significant benefits to the members of Efling in coming years. In connection with the agreement, the government and municipalities have committed themselves to actions that will bring further benefits to workers, and likewise increase stability, reduce inflation and lower interest rates. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support and perseverance of Efling members. For that, the union’s leadership and bargaining committee is grateful.
As mentioned earlier, the meeting will be held next Tuesday, in Efling’s Community Center (Félagsheimili Eflingar), on the 4th floor in Guðrúnartún 1. The meeting starts at 18:00, but the building will be opened at 17:30. Light refreshments and drinks will be served in the lobby. Sólveig Anna Jónsdóttir, chairman of Efling, leads the meeting, which will be interpreted between English and Icelandic.
