On March 13 2024 at 12 noon, secret electronic voting will begin on the new collective contract between Efling Union and Samtök atvinnulífsins (the Confederation of Icelandic Enterprise) covering work in the private labor market which was signed on March 7 2024. The vote will be open until 12 noon on March 20 2024. The contract entails changes to both the general contract of Efling and Samtök atvinnulífsins and the contract of Efling and Samtök atvinnulífsins covering work in restaurants, hotels, and comparable businesses.

Those members who work according to the previously mentioned collective agreement in the contract area of Efling have the right to vote.
Members who are not on the electoral roll but but consider themselves eligible to vote shall send a message to the election committee and request to be added to the electoral roll no later than 3pm on March 19. The request shall include a payslip or the employment contract. The message will be treated as confidential and it shall be sent to the email address felagsmal@efling.is. Members who are note able to vote online can vote with a paper ballot in the Efling office, during office hours, and need to bring a valid ID. The absentee voting will be conducted during office hours.
