The Efling electoral board hereby advertises a general secret electronic vote on a call to strike which will apply to all jobs at all workstations within the Efling area of operations performed according to chapter 22 on jobs in cleaning in the main collective agreement between Efling and SA, effective from April 1, 2019 to November 1, 2022, extended through January 31, 2024 according to a mediation proposal by the state mediator dated March 1, 2023.
Only those union members affected by the notice, as mentioned above, may vote. The strike is indefinite and will begin at 12 noon on Monday, March 18, 2024.
Voting starts at 4pm on Monday, March 4, 2024. Voting ends at 3pm on Friday, March 8, 2024.
The announcement was approved at a meeting of the Efling negotiation committee on February 28, 2024. The full text is available here.

Vote on strike call for cleaning workers (efling.is)
All union members on the electoral roll who have an email address registered with the union will receive the link via email. Digital ID is required to vote.
Members not on the electoral roll who believe they are entitled to vote should contact the electoral board to request inclusion on the electoral roll. Requests should include a payslip or employment contract. All inquiries and attachments will be treated confidentially and should be sent to felagsmal@efling.is. Members who are unable to use the electronic voting system can vote by paper ballot at the union office during its opening hours, and must bring valid ID. Paper ballot voting takes place within the office‘s opening hours during the period of electronic voting.
