The houses belong to the summerhouse village of Svignaskarð. To get there you turn off highway 1 at Langavatn. There are many beautiful things to see all around, such as Langavatn, Baula at Bifröst and Hreðavatn, where there are particularly beautiful hiking trails. About 1 hour and 15 min. driving from Reykjavík.
