Efling flies the Palestinian flag in solidarity

This past Monday, January 15th, marked 100 days since the start of Israel’s current military operation against the population of Gaza. In these military operations, the Israeli army has killed close to 30,000 residents of Gaza, including up to 15,000 children. On this occasion, unions around the world decided to show solidarity by flying the Palestinian flag. Efling participated in this action of solidarity. The flag was raised in Guðrúnartún 1 at noon on the day in question. With that symbolic action, the workers’ organization wanted to show support to the public in Palestine as well as challenge the Icelandic government to exert more force in favor of a ceasefire and a solution to the dire situation in Gaza.
