Presentation meeting
Efling invites you to a meeting for members working for Reykjavík city to present the contents of the new collective agreement signed by the negotiations committee on April 1.
- Time: Wednesday, April 5, at 5pm
- Location: Efling community centre, 4th floor at Guðrúnartún 1, 105 Reykjavík.
The agenda includes an address from Sólveig Anna Jónsdóttir, chair of Efling, and a slideshow presenting the new contract. There will also be time for questions and answers.
All Efling members working for Reykjavík city are encouraged to attend the meeting. The house opens at 4.45 pm, with refreshments and coffee. There will be on-screen text interpretation in English and Icelandic.
After the meeting, material on the contract will be made available at the Efling homepage in Icelandic and English (see below).
Voting
As in the case of all collective agreements, for it to take effect, members have to approve it in a vote.
Voting on the contract begins at 12 noon on April 11, Tuesday after Easter. Polls will be open for three full days, until 12 noon on Friday, April 14.
The result must be announced to Reykjavík city no later than at 4pm that same day.
Voting will take place online and members will have to use digital ID to vote. A link will be sent via email and SMS and shared via the Efling homepage.
All Efling members working for Reykjavík city according to the union’s contract have a right to vote.
If a member is not on the voting registry but feels they should be on it, they should send an email to efling@efling.is with their last payslip/job contract attached.
